This blog is about birthing by conscious choice. Many changes have taken place in the birthing community and great technological advances have been made in understanding conception, pregnancy,and birth. Much of the emphasis has been on the mother while the spiritual aspect has rarely been a part of the birth experience.
Birth is a miraculous spiritual process that allows the soul to come into physical embodiment. The expectant parents be they mother, father, biological, adoptive, or surrogate, can be participants in making a conscious spiritual connection with the incoming soul.
The birth assistant, or guide, for this beautiful process is called an "Adoula", trained to work with expectant parents to develop a deep spiritual connection with their baby long before the actual delivery. This connection allows for conception, pregnancy, and birth to be smoother and more fulfilling for all involved.
